Friday Night Reset: Digital Painting & Sushi

Some weeks just drag, and by Friday, I needed a reset. So, I ordered some sushi, curled up with my dog, Chewy, and opened Procreate to paint the stress away.

While I enjoyed my food, Chewy happily lounged beside me, probably hoping for a bite (he got a treat instead). In the span of a few hours, I created two landscapes—soft colors, peaceful scenes, something that felt like a deep breath after a long week.

There’s something about painting, even digitally, that quiets my mind. No deadlines, no pressure, just me, the screen, and whatever feels right in the moment. And with Chewy keeping me company, the night felt even cozier.

By the time I finished, the week didn’t feel quite so heavy. Just a quiet night, some art, and a very good boy by my side.
