Tonight my dad and I went to Pinot’s Palette for a blacklight paint and sip. The room glowed with neon colors and under the black lights our paintings slowly came alive with a spooky kind of magic.
You can watch the timelapse here:
Art has always been something we’ve shared. When I was little, my dad and I would spend hours building fine scale models together carefully painting the smallest details, steady hands, and quiet concentration side by side. Tonight reminded me of those moments. Different setting, different tools, but the same rhythm of creating together.

I set up a timelapse to capture my painting as it took shape. If you watch closely, you’ll even see my dad’s hands pop into the frame!

He couldn’t resist showing the camera his rings, which honestly look just as cool under the black light as the paint itself.
It was more than just a paint night. It was a chance to create, sip, and laugh together!
